Family Background

Where were you born and grew up?
I was born in the Philippines to a 1/4 Chinese - 3/4 Filipino family. We moved to Guam (a U.S. territory between Japan & Australia) when I was 4. I went to preschool and got beat up because I didn't speak English. Later, after watching hours upon hours of Sesame Street, I became fluent in English but lost the ability to speak Tagalog (the predominant Filipino dialect) LOL Eventually, I became a straight A student... so take THAT, bullies! Haha

Do you have siblings and are your parents still alive?
I have a 25 year old brother and 24 year old sister. I've also got two stepbrothers and one stepsister. Mom and Dad got divorced when I was 15. Mom and Stepdad live in Las Vegas (woohoo, no need to rent hotel rooms when I go to Vegas! LOL). Dad lives with Stepmom on Guam. Love them all!

What was your favourite thing to do/play as a child?
I liked reading books, collecting stickers, and other nerdly pursuits haha. Though when I was 10, I went through a phase where I had to watch that break dancing movie Breakin' every single day. I think it was even on a Betamax tape LOL

Music background

Do you sing or play a musical instrument (been in a choir or a band)?
I was in the university choir for one semester. I'm a horrible singer LOL I can play the piano, but not very well.

Who were your major musical influences growing up and now?
The Barenaked Ladies! Smart and funny lyrics, great voices, and gifted musicians. Awesome live shows!

If you could play only one style of music, what would it be and why?
Soft rock, because it's soothing to listen to, and not too heavy or jumpy.

The Real World

Are you married or in a serious relationship? If so, how long?
Been living with my boyfriend for almost 5 years. We met in a trivia chat room hehehe! We started chatting in 1999 and met in person later that year. Decided we couldn't stand the 7000+ miles distance between Guam and Nebraska, so I moved out here in 2000. It's been gravy ever since. (The good gravy.)

Do you have children? If so, how many and ages?
I haven't birthed no babies. My boyfriend has a 26 yr old and an 11 yr old... both boys.

What do you do for a living?
I prepare documents so that my company's products can go overseas, plus general office stuff.

What do you do for enjoyment, other than chatting and streaming?
I read (magazines mostly), play with my doggy (Sammy), and take trips to Vegas. I collect flying pigs and parody porn movie titles (NOT the movies, just the titles). No, really.

Miscellaneous

If you could sit down to dinner with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be and why?
Conan O'Brien. Love his smart and silly sense of humor.

Tonight you can do anything you want (no money/geographic restrictions), what would you do?
Me and my boyfriend enjoying an Italian dinner... on a yacht... in Alaska watching the northern lights.

What is your personal philosophy on life?
Attitude is about perspective. Laugh... a lot.
